About Combating eDiscrimination



This ESF funded project on eDiscrimination in the North West of England was undertaken by a team at Salford University.

Dr David Kreps

The project was thought up and led by Dr David Kreps, who is not only a leading academic in the field of web accessibility, but also the owner/director of the accessible web development company fourquarters. The research team consists of the research assistants Dr Peter Wheeler and Dr Armin Krishnan. The team is supported by Prof Alison Adam, Dr Gordon Fletcher, Dr Elaine Fernely, Dr Frances Bell, Dr Francis Wilson, Mr Justin Smith, Dr Maria Burke and Dr Maria Kutar from the University of Salford Business School and IRIS.

Dr. Peter Wheeler.


Dr. Wheeler is a disabled computer user who was the main researcher on the Combating eDiscrimination project. His research interests include recovering histories of disabled people’s employment policies and practices and comparing them with contemporary approaches. Currently he is researching how barriers to inclusion for disabled people are being rapidly introduced through inaccessible and unusable internet resources.
